Silver Tree Primary School and Nursery

Premium Allocations

Pupil Premium

Each year every school receives an amount of money called the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG). This grant provides additional funds to school for each child who is currently, or has been at any time in the last 6 years, entitled to Free School Meals (FSM). In addition, a lesser amount is also given for pupils who are ‘Looked After’ by the Local Authority (CLA) or who are children of Her Majesty’s Forces.

The Pupil Premium funding allocation for 2024/2025 will be reflected in the new Pupil Premium Strategy. Our current three-year strategy has ended and we are working hard to develop our new strategy which will be uploaded soon.

At Silver Tree Primary, our aim is to ensure that any difference in attainment between groups of children close and all children achieve well. Whilst our main aim is to raise academic attainment, we also aim to ensure that children have a wide range of opportunities and experiences to develop confidence, self-esteem and have high aspirations.

Our Pupil Premium will be reviewed in December 2024, April 2025 and July 2025.

You can view or download our previous Pupil  Premium allocation and find out how this has been used at our school and our new strategy will be uploaded soon.

Sports Premium

The Government is providing funding of £320 million per annum for the academic year 2024/2025 to provide new, substantial primary school sport funding. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education and Department for digital, Culture, Media and Sport, Swim England and will see money going directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children. The sport funding can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools.

You can view or download our Sports Premium allocation and find out how this has been used at our school for previous years below. We are working hard to develop our new plan and this will be uploaded soon.
